    Motul wash & wax in a spray can if it's dirty (the Dyna & the dragbike) or Motul shine & go silicone clean for a quick touch up.

    Both are great products that i've used for years even when i worked in bike shops.

    3 harley fatboys since 1996.
    CT 18 ..squirt it on...leave 5 mins....use spong and water to wash everywhere...hose off with water
    leave to dry 5 mins and the shammy clean
    never any problems
    always shiny and clean
    once every 6 months
    meguirs polish on tank and fenders and chrome
    must work
    Won best bike of show at HOG Qld state rally in ISA 2010
    and yes i rode it there and back

    Ressurecting an oldish thread but:

    Note to self, cooling fins have sharp edges.
    Anyone got any other tips that might save me some bark?

    Sorry, my line of employment doesnt have me dragging my knuckles to develop said calouses.
    Based on your sound advice of "harden up", I think maybe I should buy a leather vest, open face helmet, a few patch's etc, so I can fit the
    manly stereotype HD rider, oh and fingerless gloves, thatll get the calouses going.

    mr sheen is good for a general clean, purple polish is great for a detail clean,

    CT18 with a good ole brushing for me if its covered in red mud and dirt... then a good ole rinsing...then towel dry the fucker and if im feeling generous i might hit it with abit of mr sheen...then fucken hook back into it...YEE fucken HAA!!!
