Myself, Rodders and hmmm made it back, bike to just. No more smoke from Tamworth until about half an hour out from home, just kept ploughing on. Apart from top end tapping noise and the smoke the bike ran fine at speed so hopefully the damage ain't too major after 1300k's of riding with those probs, not holding my breath though.

Thanks for the concern guys and thanks to Deesy, Rodders & hmmm for sticking with me. Also thanks to Flan again for pulling some strings to get me back on the road. The guys took a heap of photo's at Scotty's so no doubt they will show up soon.

Have you had the bike checked over for damage with the valve train noise and smoking motor. Interested to hear how she looked inside.

Whats the plan when its down. I would go a 103 kit if he pulls the cylinders and maybe add a cam.

Would love to go 103, will be weighing up the options when he assesses the damage. $$$ will also decide on what happens.

This annual meet has been organised by a local motorcycling enthusiast which sees many riders converging at the Diggers Tavern for accommodation and then riding the many scenic roads in the region. 2012 sees riders from three states meet for the first time with accommodation needs overflowing to the Federal Hotel

The reality is is that the Bellingen rally is one of the oldest runs formulated from the internet by Harley groups in Australia.

Now in its 4.5th year and it is still about the ride.

As some has said here it is a good run just under Coffs and we do have a good deal of fun [50 drink min]  2 overnighter
