Hi, i am returning to Oz (Perth) mid year after a 4 year stint on the East Coast of the USA.
I've been on the US forum site and a member of USA HOG and the local HOG chapter in my area for a couple of years.
Neatly concealed amongst my personal effects is a 2007 Night Train that i'm hoping to get into the country without too much drama and get complianced.
I've seen a few posts here from guys who have imported bikes themselves previously, so anyone that has some pointers on the compliancing side of it i'd appreciate the heads up.

Hi, thanks i have all the paperwork in for the personal import, so as far as i can tell i have all those bases covered.
I have a couple of months to go to get hold of all the stuff i need for compliancing while i am still in the USA, so far from what i can tell it looks like -
speedo
headlight
front blinkers
rear blinkers
license plate holder with reflector
i'm probably going to have an issue with the exhaust noise, i have a SE 2 into 1 that i have some spare tunable disc's that i can add on to it, but i dont know the current dba reading.
it has an LED tail light which according to the Harley P&A catalogue is DOT and TUV approved and does'nt say that it is not approved for use on international models which they generally say if there's an issue. if its going to be an issue i will get a stock one just in case.
Is there anything else i need to be aware of?

Hi Chopaweeza, thanks for the info, the brakes are all stock.
The exhaust has the 02 sensors in and is fully functional with the EFI.
If i can get the noise down do i have a chance of getting it passed, or do i need to buy a stock exhaust off ebay?

i checked out the parts catalogue and the major difference between the USA and International exhaust is the acutuator cable and its muffler mechanism, so as long as they are not so anal as to go looking for that, i'm probably in good shape with a stock USA exhaust.
i will get an international tailight assembly as well, for $45 bucks its not worth the trip back to the rego place to argue over this one.
i will take 2 cartons of beer with me everytime i go to visit somebody thru the process.
if my previous experience in OZ (the nanny state of SA) with my last harley and a zrx1200 that were both heavily modded is anything to go by, everytime i go around the corner in WA some fat walloper will jump out from behind a bush and give me a ticket for something, so a full kit of stock spares is probably a good investment anyway!
Almost makes you want to stay here in the land of fat shelia's - but i desperately miss red light camera's, speed camera's, RBT's and the coppers right to pull you over without due cause whenever they feel like it, so its about time to get back to OZ and get amongst it !
