Hi all,  first time user from brisvagas,

I can get my hands on a cheap 2002 FXD bike that has been written off (only has 1 bent folk tube) and i can also get my hands on a cheap ultima softail frame suitable for evo engine (with mso etc) will the motor and gearbox bolt on without to much hassel, will the other parts transfer across with out to much hassel. I am very machnically minded but have not played with harleys befor.   I am just after a bike and dont have huge amounts of cash.  If these parts transfer across iand i go through the icb process it will work out reasonable for me.  Or alternatively has any one out there got a registerable frame.

there was a guy on here some time back that put a TC motor and tranny in a FXR frame, made new mounts for it etc but you need to know your shit to tackle such a job why dont you go to one of the aussie frame guys and get a TC softy frame?

I did read about a company in the states making mounts to suit the alpha motor in a softail style frame. The problem would the vibes getting transferred through the frame. It would try and find a custom dyna chassis then everything could be swapped over from one to the other. Choppaweeza imports stuff from the states so find a custom frame and import it back to OZ
