Hi all, well i don't like starting oil debates, but my 01 twin cam 95" dyna is due for a service, i been running Redline Motorcycle fully synthetic for a while now. & Cow @ L A Cycles hoxton park Syd pulled my compleat motor apart including flywheels ( as crank slipped had to replace ) so while it was apart i got to see how it had all been working. & the redline does its job well. Cow said its the best so keep useing it even though it costs more. he also used it on his Top Fuel ( Nitro Harley ) that bike can tell you what oil works in a few seconds. they fire them up do there burn out then stage probably takes about 30 seconds or might be a tad longer, then if everything is set right & nothing breaks takes about 6 .5 seconds gets to about 320kph depends where the ridder shuts off or if it drops a cylinder on way down track. then it's shut off as the rules of drag racing state a Nitro burner can only be driven or ridden on the track. if its running right nothing breaks. its making & useing 800hp god knows how much TQ but a lot. the oil is deluted in Nitro so you drain all of it & put freash oil in. Cow used only Redline tried some other oils but they were breaking down.

Anyway to make a long story short i asked Cow what will i get for oil? he said Redline as its the best. so i got some cost $139 for a US gallon ( about 3.75L ) got it from Benson spares Hoxton Park road . i'll leave it in one year. also i use Redline ShockProof in gearbox and i've owned a few HD's over the past 35 or so years and this is the best gear box oil i've used can feel it when i shift, it shifts bloody quick too at the track.

make up your own mind but why buy the best bike in the world & not use the best protection, all you got is air & oil these no water cooling.

    cheers
