Mate...wish you well on the ride. Just came back from a four day blat over the area your going to, plus all over, & around, the Snowy Mountains. Stayed overnight at Albury, Jindabyne & Bright. There is a must do road to ride. It is the road between Eildon & Jamieson. 64 klms of absolute fantastic mountain riding. Beware of some double apex turns...it is now sealed all the way. Don't miss it. Have a good one.

Porepunkah is only 10 minutes from Bright on The Great Alpine Rd, right on the Ovens River, nice little town. I've heard the caravan park there is good place to stay as well. If you were going a couple of weeks later I was a chance to tag along. Have a safe trip Cheers Hootin.

Enjoy the ride Bugger, just letting ya know there is a fukin heap of pushbikes riding round the hills (falls-bright-hotham-omeo-falls) this weekend in a race and the road between mt beauty and bright is closed on the 11th.

    Have a good trip

Not trying to be a downer on ur trip mate, just saw a sign that the bogong high plains rd is also closed tomorro, due to the fukin pushbikes. I would imagine that this would only be the section from the omeo hwy just past blue duck up to falls ck.

Well I was all packed up and ready to take off, started up the bike and the engine management warning light stayed on, FUCK .

Bike is runnnig ok but for this fucken warning light.

I spent about an hour looking for the fult, couldnt find anything.

So had to abandon the ride, just in case there is something wrong.

.Got to take it to the stealer and get it checked out.

Only thing I can think of is, I pulled the C02 sensors pulgs to do some work on the pips (ignition was off) I think the ECU has registered a fult.

These fucken EFI bikes are full of bells & whissels, the only way to get then turn off is take it to the stealers$$$$

I was pritty pissed off, Its fucked my trip. so I stayed home and got pissed instead

Iv got another 5 days off later this month 26th to 30th, might have another go then.

Might be just as well you missed out. There were three serious bike accidents up there this weekend. One of them fatal.

Bugger, you can pick up a decent Commando for around 14K these days - no fuckn warning lights either. Just watch those transparent oil hoses, they get hot and pop off under pressure, and piss oil over your back tyre causing you to spill at the first right hander. Some silly prick I new did it....what WAS his name??
