It begs the questions vs. insurance.................................................Insurers will not indemnify in the event of accident, where a law has been broken. Its not that clear, however anyone with a motorcycle insurance policy will have consistent wording? So, in essence, you have an accident..........................you're fucked!!

So would that mean those expensive novelty helmets are just as illegal as a new one?
Haven't looked at them, I have an old one that is a small that I scolloped out some of
the foam to fit as a large. These new ones with 3" of foam either side look shit.
Yes I have heard "cheap helmet for a cheap head" but it's my choice.

I find this interesting, so if no helmets are legal, then I don't have to wear one ?? OR you could check this like out.

I wear a half helmet that appears to be legal, given the info in the above link. If I had my way I would not even own one, surprisingly I rode for 11 years without one & I'm still here. I'm not being a smart arse,, wait yes I am, I hate helmets they just give the mortician  a pretty face to look at whilst they embalm you,

i'e had a couple of spills where the full face helmet certainly saved me from a few marks .... and i have had other spills where the helmet is unmarked.

if helmets were no longer compulsory i would still wear one ... same as gloves and jacket .....
