Hi Guys I am really keen on the wegner x-pipes exhaust they will give serious power and are relatively quite, however the only problem is that they dont have full heat shields. I looked up some alternatives suchh as Fullsac and  Jackpot exhuasts, but these are no where as good as Wegner and concentrate on tourers, I have a softail springer. I did on one occassion manage to find another alternative which was essentially a wegner but with full length heatshields but I didnt take the web address down and dam if i can find it again.

    Can anyone help?

Sorry guys dont know what is up with the type I set it to xxlarge and it came out tiny , anyhow I am after an alternative to Wegner x-pipe exhaust for my softail springer. for what it is worth I have done the following mods to my bike

110 cu in displacement, MVA-CNC heads, 10.5:1 pistons,Redshift 657 cam Zippers 54mm throtle body, 4.82 g/sec injectors, roller rockers, Fuelling race adjustable push rods, Fueling race cam follows, Fuelling cam plate and high capacity oil pump, Zippers high flow air filter and Rhrinehart 2:1 exhaust currently getting 125HP at the rear wheel.

The wegner will draw out a few more horses but the main reason i want to go to it is that it will do it a lot quieter than the Rhineharts. In my original post I stated that I had looked at the Fullsac and Jackpot which also had a x-pipe configuration but the Wegner is a much superior exhaust in my opinion the only draw back being that it does not have full length heat shields. I did manage to find another manufacture which was esentially the same as the Wegner construction but with full length heat shield, but i have lost the web address. Hence my request if any one can help with suppling me with the name and/or the webaddress for an exhuat manufacturer with a simulat set-up as thw Wegner but with full length heat shields.

Already spoke to Wegner they dont do full length heat shields only partials and finish to both headers and  partial heat shields are in brushed stainless steel, mufflers are special chrome Supertrapp, hence alother reason for looking for full length chrome heat shield as it completes the exhuast in chrome.

Lots of people are running Supertrapp cans on 2-1 D&D, Bassani, rienhart, V&H headers. Im running a B1 Bassani road rage with a trapp baffle it's quite with a 2 HP drop in HP. It's about 98db with 21 discs closed cap. Wegner use Supertrapp cans so why don't you put one on your 2-1 headers. They make a shit load of mufflers in all sizes in chrome, black or stainless.

you need to look at the wegner x-pipr headers and twin supertrapp set up. The headers are stepped and the x-pipe equalises and improves scavaging them the twin special supertrapp cans are quite while giving no ;oss ih HP in fact you will pick up HP wih this set up. This set up is a work of art not cheep but worth it check out www.wegnerautomotive2.com/bikeexhaust.htm

The Bassani has 4 stepps along the touring system with equal length headers with a inner built megaphone then through a 2 1/4 louvered baffle. I have read about the wegner x pipe being made for high HP drag racing applications only. A few US tuners have stated after owning both the wegner 2-1 and 2-1-2 x touring pipes on 120R motors that it's not suited for the road and they went back to D&D, Bassani, Supertrapp Etc.

easy fix is to take pipes to a good muffler shop they should (if cant then they useless) be able to cut a bit of tube in half ect an make sheilds to suit then either chrome em or paint em with potbelly black
