Shot up through NSW on the Newell the other week and came across the point to point cameras. Whats the go with them?

I got told everything from just after trucks to booking bikes and cars too... Not back home yet so dunno if I've coped fines

Anybody?

Not sure if they do bikes. Might be like the tolls here in Vic....that don't pic up a rear number plate....only front. Meaning....bikes use the toll rides for free.
The 'point to poiint' setup takes a pic of EVERY vehicle and calc's average speed. Depends on HOW they get the pic I guess.

 

The NSW  point to point is only for heavy transport vehicles atm.

The technology is there ready to fire but only big rigs presently.

However, I bet my bottom dollar that the point to point system is recording (photographic) every vehicle number plate that passes thru.

 

 

I 'googled' all key words and phrases I could think of....and nothing comes up telling you what angles the pic's are taken from. Maybe a 'secret'.
