    Ditto for me Mr Noit

1st Harley also, and that does disappoint slightly having no tacho. I for one will be getting a tacho as I can't hear what the motors doing. (Too quiet, stock pipes)

Depending what gear you're in, and how fast ur going, versus how hard you put the power on, will depend on if you produce lugging. I call it clattering, thats what I reckon the motor sounds like and I hate the noise. It sounds like the motor is self destructing.

My solution is (will be) V&H 2 into 1 pipes (sound) and a tacho (I like to know what's going on between my legs)

The RRM would be around 4500RPM. It ain't high as Harley's rev. low for reliability.

If the exhausts clattering it could be most likely a leak in the slip on joint or the mixture could be too rich or too lean check the colour of your spark plugs after a short 20k ride. My advice lets some one check it out they can spot things you and I can't.
