Fuelpak Stutter

    Hi

I have recently purchased installed and set up a Fuel Pak system on my 2012 Harley Sportster Iron 883

I have followed all the instructions in setting it up using both the manual that came with it as well as the website in case there were new settings.

The issue I am having is when cruising the bike stutters for example on a highway. The only way to stop this is to apply a little throttle or or release the throttle so it slows down on the engine.

Exhaust:         Vance and Hines Short Shots Staggered Black with the quiet baffles
Air Intake:       K&N RK-SERIES INTAKE ASSEMBLIES Part #RK3929
    Stock Engine

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any solution to this.

    Thanks for your help.

Re-check your codes and make sure you didnt make a mistake,
Its common to have some popping on decel or with a big gut full
of throttle using the Fuel Pak... But not under load ?

It's running too lean.  Once you open the exhaust and air cleaner up to get more power the mixture is too lean and the bike surges slightly.   I doubt that the Fuelpak will be able to compensate for it without a stage one download.  I would suggest XIED's.  They fixed the stumble I had on my EFI 1200 Sporty which occurred only at very light throttle openings when trying to cruise at a steady speed.  Cost about $100.00.
