Not if they are a float charger.

I have no idea about the Harley models but most modern tenders take the battery to full charge, then they just wait around till the juice drops again and they start topping it up.

Yeah I was going to do the sun thing, but went240 instead. Been great, one on boat (4yrs) and one on the bike.
