yes, i use a cycle-electric reg on my 1974 sporty no problems , cast iron sporty's are suppose too have & old geenie hanning off them it's class , i could help with info & part's ?
the old mecanial reg's are aval for the electric starter model XLH my 74 is both kick & electric , i will have a look i think i have a new reg for the big 32 amp battery are you still running the big battery ? if not you can use & 1978-80 solid state reg stock style
i don't think you will find 1 , we just re wire the bikes if doing original style & electrian could help out , never seen 1 in 30 +years
