So it has been a while since I've uploaded anything.

At this stage I've just welded on most of the bits and bobs.

I just have to weld on a spot for the oil filter, finish of the drive train, do the electricals and lights and thats mostly it...I hope

Although I did notice my wheel spacings was wobbly after I chucked it on the trailer. Gonna have to look into that!

    Hey Brick,

I'm reconsidering my handle bar options at the moment, but as soon as it's registered might do something a bit more fancy. This is just so I can get the tick of approval!

Thanks for the tip Crowy. Much appreciated!

haha I will soon Ian! Just undergoing some major work at the moment so I'll just send teasers for now.
I have the engineer inspecting the structure soon and then if he is happy, I'll start the wiring!

Well thats the plan at least haha

Has it Beenhard yakka dealing with engineers? I think that puts a lot of people off these projects

Some of the engineers in Sydney I have found to be complete nobs. For example one guy wanted 10k to do the brake test...
My last engineer quoted me a very good all in price. I came back 9 months later for next stage of approvals and he made the price 4 times what he originally quoted. When I asked him why he basically said because he could.

But the new guy is really good. Locked in all in price. Knew his stuff and bike bits and brands better than the last guy. Laid everything out VERY clearly of what he wanted and what is required to make my life easier to get this thing done.

The process isn't TOO bad as long as you don't take shortcuts.

Good to hear. I was stunned 18 myths ago when I enquired. The cost of the actual bike looked almost do-able, the engineering stuff blew the whole idea off the park. Yours looks superb, and I'm looking forward to seeing the end result. Good work mate.

    Dannyboy,

Did you ever finish this. I'm curious to see how another Sydneysider went with the rego process and this bike was looking pretty cool!

Sorry all for the lack of updates. Been busy with work and life and havent had too much time on the bike. Only update I have at the moment is the frame has been sandblasted and powder coated satin black.

Slowly and steadily putting it finally together now. Fingers crossed I finish before end of the year.

    wiring is COMPLETE

Just gotta make sure every not and bolt is tight now.. AND figure out how to calibrate the speedo so will probably need the guru Walka to run me through it! Will take it for a ride after work this week!

Then off the the engineer..pics to follow.
