This isn't meant as a 'Cop bashing' thread but I'm surprised at their lack of understanding that bikes are 'invisible' at the best of times and more so at night.

Check these two in Brisbane last night. Two Coppers on trail bikes parked up side by side in the 'left turn lane' outside the Victory Pub in Charlotte St.

Not too smart as they have no lights on and trust me it was quite dark-ish; the pics appear much lighter than it really was:

Gotta agree stupid unsafe way to sit / park / wait / stay whatever.

Yep, the photographs clearly depict them stopped in a left turn lane of a Brissy Street.

But, we dont know the exact circumstances why they are sitting where they are sitting.

Besides, I am aware that here in NSW cops are exempt from most traffic laws when under exection of certain policing functions.

So me is assuming that all states / territories in Oz have similiar exemptions for their cops.

    Just sayin...........................

Riding up the F3 yesterday I passed a Hwy Patrol sitting on the right hand shoulder of the road facing the oncomming traffic. His wheels would have been inches from the white line, leaving a bees-dick of room between the traffic and his nice bright yellow SS Commodore. I guess being above the law makes you immune from potential 110kph head on accidents?

Twice I have seen cops talking on a mobile while driving police vehicles. They would bust their own Mum's for similar.

Reality is that I have had NSW policemeans tell me to not to park double up even within the limits of a marked spot, end on end or across the lane as these blokes are doing,.Let alone in a turning lane...
Maybe they're splitting lanes in a new age advanced safety measure designed to "SAVE" lives?????????

    In this case point
It will take a major recognition of state governments that with the rolling out the likes of the Maquairie group or council road rangers that these so called above the law lawmen will indeed be given ample nay multiple tickets for gross violations of the road rules .

Ok, I am due some abuse

Has anyone got a couple pic's of their mates doing the wrong thing?
Why not send them to the local police station with the pic's of the two polise parked in the tuning lane.

Only as a show of fairness that it ain't a "police bash"

I agree the police should follow the same rules they have to enforce.

Exemption for the services is a good thing
    But
With the pics showing two bikes in the turn lane does not look (appearance is everything) like official business, it does look like a chat on the side of the road illegally parked
