Hi all, just bought a set of panniers off of ebay that came off of a '98 convertible, the price was so low that I couldn't pass them up - got the set for $90 and was thinking that a after installing a lay back plate and indicator relocation kit + ditching the original brackets (they seem to bolt up to the rear guard & I am not drilling ant holes in my bike!!) they should fit ok.

I was also thinking about installing a set of Edge brackets to complete the conversion, so the question is do you think this will work? The bags have a PVC back and seem to be raked enough at the front to clear the shocks but just a bit worried the brackets may not come out far enough to allow bag clearance for the rear lower portion of the guard.

I know the question is a bit out there but just on the off chance that someone may know I thought I would ask anyway.
