heres one I saw the other day. The irony was not lost on me.
Ahh discounts... a friend worked at Kmart years ago and she was telling me they had some product that wouldn't sell or sold too slowly and it hadta go. It went something like this:
At $10 the item didn't sell. They removed the $10 tix and stuck $15 in its place. Then they stuck $12 tix onto the items leaving the $15 tik visible but struck out the $15 price with a red pen.
The items were placed on a table in-store with a red strobe light flashing and '30 minutes only - SPECIAL' signs all over it. She reckons every item sold within the timeframe.
Coz everyone was getting a bargain, yeah? Buyer beware.
Yeah i did question them on it...Answer... "THERE HAD BEEN A MANUFACTURES PRICE RISE ON FEB 1 & THE PRICE I WAS GIVEN LAST MONTH WAS WITH THE 10% HOG DISCOUNT THAT M&W GIVES TO BRISHOG MEMBERS & BECAUSE THIS IS A PROMOTION IT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 10% HOG DISCOUNT AS WELL"..... Go figure!
