G'Day guys. Word is that Will and Santina, ex Sys Harley (having sold their shares) are now opening the Australian franchise of Eagle Riders. 30 bikes are being delivered very soon, thru Sys, with 6 for general hire to be kept in store as general hires and 24 at the proposed ER premises at Rockdale from where they will run tours(with guide, back up van and bikes etc). Word also that negotiations for more bikes and bikes in other states thru Peter Stevens and M&W etc are in progress.
From what I know ER are enormous in the US, so hope the same level of success to the owners here.
Travelling around the USA you see heaps of Eagle Riders shops their everywhere.
I wish them well.
What happened to the franchise in Melbourne?
ER in the States and Europe have got to be pretty sharp, there's plenty of competition. As a rule they're top notch, but being a franchise it's like everything else, some of the franchise mamagement can go off the boil at times.
Hi there
Went on a fully featured EagleRider Wild West Tour in September '010. Extremely well looked after bikes and thoroughly professional. Tour was awesome taking in most of the major National Parks in the West.
Can't speak highly enough of the business they run. Met the Owner/CEO and their Operations Manager in LA Shawn Fechter.. Great guys, down to earth and happy to help people "live the dream"!!
Cheers
A mate & I hired two E glides from ER in LA in march 2012 to go to Daytona Bike week, we made our own way not a tour .. mine was a 2012 model with 100 miles on the clock & the mates had 12 miles the guys there were brilliant . they got the bikes back 3 weeks later with 9000 odd miles on them, the only thing I find hard to understand is why they let them out for wot was going to be such a long journey before the first service
Been to the USA several times and used Eagle Rider in LA and Vegas and travelled moer than16000kms. Good company with a professional approach. LA and Vegas had heaps of bikes renting sometimes 60 a day. Money, money, money. (might make a good song).
About time Oz took it on, should have been done years ago.
