Me and a buddy were checking out the new model V-Rod last night and were very impressed with the style .
He had a verbal to buy a '11 model special for 25 and cancelled it when he found out the new model is $500 more.
The stealers we not real happy he found the new model a better bike.
Really a different series V-Rod altogether.
    IMO..Mint slice !!

Why don't they bring out a Harley where they all have better brakes making it standard with dual disks up front, also cruise control on all models.

Also have the blinker switch on the left side instead of the stupid blinker setup they have now, to me the harley blinker system makes harley riders look dumb, left hand you put your blinker on, right hand you put you blinker on, is this so we don't forget what button to press. Only thing I like about the blinkers are they self cancel.

Piss off that stupid standard harley upright number plate bracket, also the stupid ugly looking tail light which is on most of the models, why cant they make a nice tail light which blends into the rear guard with a number plate underneath, something like the CVO Softail has on it.

Also get rid of the dual fuel cap idea that is lame, put a springer on a FatBoy and make the engine look like a Panhead  now that would be nice.

Rocky, are you serious , Cruise control on all models ???
I agree the Indicator switch is annoying (esp' if you own other bikes) , BMW have had a similar for years.

i must be different.  i like the blinker button on both bars.  Its waaaaaay easier than my other bikes left toggle switch , especially when riding in winter with thick gloves !

I like the idea of a kickstarter, sure as fuck looks cool if you can get the starting sequence and fuelling correct.

At the same time though you can look like a right tool if you mess it up.

Mind you though.... ive seen plenty of people fuck up the starting procedure with an electric starter motor and the bike in gear! Watched one poor sod launch his bike into traffic outside the Macquarie Arms in Windsor once.......

Had many bikes with kickstart, its great that most bikes have electric start these days. Kickstarting was a pain in the arse when the bike backfired whilst kickstarting and the kickstarter whacks you in the calf muscle that fucking hurts, this use to happen on my old ducati.

Harley-Davidson rolls back the clock back with its Seventy-Two Sportster, harking back to the days of Watergate, a time when the last ground troops were pulled out of Vietnam, the movie “The Godfather” was just being released and gasoline was a whopping 55-cents a gallon. It was also the height of the American chopper movement, bikes with ram’s horn handlebars, stretched forks and banana seats.
