I have put the ecm on the bike and put the oxygen sensors in but wtf do I need to remove to get the electrical connectors through from the top to the bottom of the frame?
Do I take out the battery...the oil tank...remove the fender...all of the above or is there something much easier that I have missed?
cheers
Surly
Rear fender in this instance
In the day and age of the PDF why can't someone supplying a CD give detailed instructions????
WIll update on progress later.
Ok in and running but it doesnt find the O2 sensors?
Total fitting time including going to get a 7/8 spanner was about 3 hours but I don't think it is quite done yet.
I know I have read about this problem either here or the US forum but am stuffed if I can find it.
Anyone?
I hadn't plugged the data port on the bike into the cable for it from the TMAX
All my fault but an easy fix
Initial impression is WOW!!!
Bike is stock other than SE street legal slip ons and even these were enough to send the stock ecm over the edge. The bike used to pop and backfire on over run and gear change. Since the tmax I have tried everything I could think of to get it to pop and not a single one. All you get is a subdued rumble.
Definitely more responsive and feels a little stronger up top or at least happier to rev.
I was not sure if it was worth putting it on prior to even having a high flow air cleaner. I just wanted to see how it worked. But even on an almost stock bike it is like night and day. If it gets no better with use I will still be very happy with it.
Now I can start adding more bits and try to free some more ponies
