I just don't get the attraction for a side-mounted plate, sticks out too far and looks untidy. Just get a smaller plate and leave it on the fender, alla "chopp_luey" style.

Il stick with mine i think it looks good and better than over the tyre. I bought a harley for style n looks not to keep cops happy bet the exhaust n pod is illegall too

 is that the normal side mount? it seems to come out heaps more then the one I got from HD

even if one does not go for the side mount it got some good info on what to expect removing the monster plastic that sticks up the iron, 48 or nighster

 

thats the same as my plate holder.

I ordered the radiantz one after seeing chop lueys in another thread. haven't pulled off the stock yet to figure out how to mount it like chop though.
