Hi ive had my 2003 road king for about 1 month It started to get a bit noise in the primary chain area If adjust it as per manaul and done a oil chain I used harley oil for the primary and trans / screaming eagle for the engine went for a ride today it sounds to be getting Noiser but it's all so getting very hot I was thinking may be the oil pump is not Pumping but it still runs good? Can some one help Daniel

Is it the primary drive or the donk that is getting hot?

It sounds like you're referring to the primary when you mention the noise, is that correct?

How many K's had it done when you got her?

How many K's she done now?

What was the oils like when you dumped them?

Hi the oil looked good when removed it done 70000 I thought it was the chain at first as the noise was on the left side when riding so I adjusted as per manual 3/8 to 5/8 cold
All the oil levels are good after oil change nosie is both sides and hot all over after a 10min ride you can't tonch any part of it

70000 should be good if it was looked after Dan, but you probably don't know it's history, so me thinks you might be better off taking it to an experienced mechanic, or dealer to perform an apraisal on it.

Compression test, oil pressure test, and so on. Trained ears will be able to diagnose any  bad noises.

If theres nothing wrong at least you'll have peace of mind.

You can cut the oil filter open and check whats inside it. The cam chain shoes wear out in them early bikes so its best to go into the cam chest and have a look around. I would drop a Andrews 21 or 26 cam in with new bearings and cam chain shoes while its down.
