Hi all, just thought from a safety point of view I would share an issue, I have a 2011 fatboy lo and this last weekend, I went out and noticed my rear indicators didnt work, on closer inspection the the rear light also didnt work, so home I went and in short I checked out all usual bits, bat, fuse, connections, then tracked back to find that on the undeside of the rear gaurd there is a rubber trunking that carries all the wires for the rear bits, this had come unstuck and dropped onto the back wheel, it had worn through all but one wire, due to the low bike you could not see this happening and should it have come apart, could have fallen into the rear wheel and who knows what would happen. PLEASE ALL CHECK YOUR RIDES, just in case. easy fix if you have the same issue, email me an ill let you know what I did.
Had same thing happen to mine. A couple of months after I bought my 11 fatboy lo, i was about 500 ks north of perth at the time. It also happened to my 05 fatboy, which caused a fire. I keep a close eye on it now.
Cheers Lez
