hi new help just fire the old genny shovel up, first time in 8 years, & i have put in  a billet disributor, but to get her running i needed to spin it around so much that the wires touch my cylinders they will melt if they stay there, ive seen pleanty of pics & the name plate is facing out , can anyone please tell me if they have the same problem, thanks tony.

Sounds like the dissy was put in 180 degree out, if you have just put it in then recheck. If it was in 8 years ago and running, thats another story.

when you fit a dizzy  you work it as  so the wire's   & any other bit's  are not in the way of anything + also when set the adjustment should be in the middle range  or there abouts you time it of * 1 cly that is the front on a harley
