I live near Port Pirie, and I would say that it's safer to ride in Adelaide than in our local city. People veer to the right before turning left. Must be a habit from the old days of no power steering. You need to trust no one and don't trust their indicators, wait until you can see the whites of their eyes and can see what they really intend to do.
Should be compulsory license testing every couple of years, we all need refreshers I rekon. It's funny when your kids grow up and they are learning to drive, suddenly you realise you don't know all the road rules.

Every time I ride in Lafayette I consider it a good day if only two people try to kill me.

Central Queensland, once you show your drivers licence with local address on it, this gives you a $3000.00 discount on your next car... it will come without indicators.. but hey.. they dont use em here anyway.. so its an excess part.. useless really..

Since getting a bike licence and a truck licence I have thought that it is a good idea that everyone does the same.

It would geve everyone the appreciation that you are vulnerable on two wheels and it's not easy to stop 15 tonnes in a hurry.

I'm with Cycle. Gold Coast roads are a big gamble. Find Taxi drivers fanging it to the next fare are trouble & will cut you off. Tourists in hire cars are a nightmare too. Young girls in Suzuki Swifts etc are a menace...they should be ashamed of themselves.
