Went for a ride on my 94 heritage yesterday and ended up with a flat battery, put another battery in and all lights etc. came on, when I pushed starter button the whole thing went dead. No lights etc at all. I have since found the pin from the voltage regulator was off but has anyone got an idea what has happened and how to fix the problem ?

False alarm people, turns out the other battery I put in is rooted. If a bloke had any brains he would've checked it first. Recharged original battery and it appears everthings o.k.
