WHAT happens in Litchfield Pub, stays in Litchfield Pub - except if it ends up on YouTube.
A 79-second video is doing the rounds on the internet of two bikers burning rubber inside the Animal Bar at Litchfield Pub, Darwin River.
The video called 'Litchfield Pub bagg'n up' shows the bar filling with smoke as a drunken crowd eggs on the two Harley Davidson riders Darwin River local Shane Bates and another man known only as "Head."
It took three days to get the smell of burnt rubber out of the pub.
But no amount of lacquer can get rid of the tyre marks in front of the bar and beside the pool table.
Rodney Flagg who had the lease on the pub at the time invited the pair to do their worst late one night in 2008.
The pub was cleared and the two men drove in and let rip.
'Head' in his exuberance dropped his bike leaving a large scoop mark on the floor.
It is not the first time Territorians have rode their mode of transport right up to the bar.
A man rode his horse into Humpty Doo Hotel and ordered a beer during 2011 New Year's Eve celebrations.
Riding bareback and wearing just shorts and a pair of thongs, Trevor Yeend steered horse Elvis through the crowd and went straight for the bar.
The 48-year-old jockey said it was easier to ride to the bar than walk.
"I think people were a bit stunned," he said. "But it was just another night at the Humpty Doo pub I guess."
Good stuff, should be more of it :-)
