Probably better for him to ride it a bit and figure out what type of foot pegs he wants before modifying the position.

The controls on the Widey are pretty much "out there" as they are.

I found that a chuncky peg with a flattish top and angled right for support to the bottom of the foot worked well for me. (Aerofoils)

He'll know himself after settling in if they gotta be moved and by how much.

6ft and 92 kgs - currently ride an 06 Wideglide ( bought late 05 new ) and prior to that had a 96 wideglide for 10 years

Rode the 96 wg around the US in 2003 and in 09 rode the 06 wg to Darwin & return from Victoria - as I live in the bush most of my riding is open road and the wg ride is fine for me

Agree with Rider about the pegs - on both bikes used a HD custom peg with flat top and angled to fit my foot

I find the riding position very comfortable - suits my height. long legs and arms with the higher bars

as Rider said - experiment with the pegs first and find what suits - even moving the bars forward or back a bit to suit

I'm 6'2" and like you I'm still hoping to get to 6'3". I'm 53 next week though so I'm starting to lose hope. I have a 2010 and a 2011 Wide Glide (long story) and the forward controls are just perfect for me.
