Gotta get my bike home from bundy and im in gladstone for work till weekend so was thinking putting in a trailer and towing it back to emerald? Think 2 tie down on front and one over seat will do it?

I use 6 tie downs for the fatty ... I'd use 4 as a minimum mate.

Like evilism says, use a few more. Good brand ones too not the shitty autoparts store crap.

I used 3 on my sporty to get it to ACT from Sydney (3hrs) It was ok. Put a soft rug over paintwork, Had a few heart attacks going over pot holes, but stayed rock solid.

If you can tie proper knots, use good tie downs on the triple clamp with cloth under the metal hooks at the front - dont rely on the plastic covering of the hooks to protect anything. Then use rope to do a back up tie down (just firm, not tight, the rope is just a back up) going from the handle bars to the trailer. Use two more tie downs and rope back ups at the rear. ( usually one over the swing arm between the pivot and the tyre is usually a safe place to go) , again use rags to protect the paint. Use rope to tie the tyres down to the tyre channel if you can, if you are using a box trailer, use the rope to make sure the tyre/wheels wont slip or move side ways.
And dont collapse the suspension right down using the tie downs. The suspension can be damaged if you pull all the travel out of suspension. About half travel is a reasonable amount.

The best way to secure the front end is to put a football of your code of choice between the mudguard and lower triple tree so you can tension the front end down without damaging your suspension. The rear end just needs to be stopped from skidding.
