Where do you get the perforated tube from. I need a 8 inch x 2 1/4 for my Bassani road rage.

I've never read anything positive about the anti reversion cones.

so true rodder there are so many diff types with spiral louvers n perforated tube some really shit ones in custom chrome mags ect ive always stuck with the old proven methods but with all the new injection an ignitions ect the harley motor is still just a basic combuston engine that hasnt changed a great deal since the first shovels were made an besides simple things in life are often the best an work better as ive said unless ya after every inch power ect ect most ppl go for sound an looks ..cant see mobs like the stealers tellin us the v h pipes are shit or they would loose a heap of dollars most mobs will say their products are the best cause they want the money r b does some great work but its all competition in the end and they all will tell ya theirs is the best to buy hey ive put afr meters on bikes that cost 40 bucks and still get the good enough readin so the dyno tuner dont have to touch it an most will tell ya ya goota buy the ducks guts to get the correct readin but the ones i fit are simple as an even come with a remote lol

I've read this with interest. I too have a V&H Big Radius exhaust and not only is it way too loud, I'm convinced the low end throttle response is suffering.

Given the popularity of this exhaust, the number of people around wanting to quieten it down in addition to riders getting the wrong kind of (blue) attention, there must be a market and money-making opportunity to quieted down this exhaust and make it perform better.

I'm considering the Big City Thunder baffle option but not convinced it will quieten the exhaust down sufficiently.

They won't sell to the public even with a ABM number. If you can get any 2 1/4 perforated pipe 10 inches let me know. I won't to take the luverd spiral baffle out and replace with a perforated type in my 2-1 road rage.

We might have to roll our own hilly with perforated sheets.

The problem buying a cheap muffler for a hundred bucks is you gets cheap perorated baffle material. I would rather buy good quality pipe for 50 bucks. The louvered type spiral baffle send the exhaust flow into a tumbling spiral out the muffler causing back presure.

spiral louver is more restrictive than the perf tube

the perf tube in that advert is ok but the holes are to close together an will crack once in its designed to be welded in place ..ive made muffs before usein the mega perf an always cracks the stuff i use is 16 gauge aluminised tube wont rust except for one spot on the seam but to fix that i just paint with some cold gal

ok fellas got onto young shane an they have had a big shake up butttttttt they will still sell to me no worries can get the bits ya want but it has to be in one meter lengths

hilly that staino packin is ok but it gets real hot an starts to melt on decent rides we only used it on cars bikes ect that had to beat epa levels when i got done in my hq munro the noise pollution mob gave me a readin of 112 decebels lol i shit so fitted 2 big chev mufflers an 4 resonators an it still went 89dec so we stuffed it full staino wire shit an passed on way home it was shootin bits of red hot wire mesh shit out the tail pipe lol lucky no bikes behind me them decible meters pick up roller cam an roller rocker noise as well as exhaust hey motor was 400 small block brodix heads with 200hp nos kit with all the good gear in motor with 3 sopeed lenco an fully floatin dana rear end lol 940rwhp on the dyno at trev pearls shop in the early 80s ahhhh when fuel was under 40 cents a litre for bp100 lol

2 bags muffla stuffing hte white fluffy shit – Don’t do it anymore mate. Not popular enough. In a month or so I will have Wool sheets suitable for bikes and that but ive got nothing at the moment mate.
2 1/4 sports muffler offset off set for my sons suzi 4x4 he restoreing -- 8x4x16 is $25

got a 88 carb twinkie here atm with samson long shots on it no baffles an just a set reversion cones fitted gets fantasic fuel ecomony round 380 to a tank i think he said an thats round town work also its not as loud as a set of v n h short shots with baffles im doin some cams ect but a nice bike an sounds sweet as ity looks

hay ron I got some of that perf tube when I built a muffler for a F1 honda last year, from Walla st exhaust in Bundy if you want some in this area they had a lot of diferent sizes n designs what I use is the same as u use
