Hiya mate
I had my bike dyno tuned last week at a Brisbane dealer cost a bit over $500
Was happier with the canned map they loaded when they fitted the SEPST
Booked in next Saturday to return it to previous tune
Craig
Can only comment on my outcome
First time i have had a dyno tune done and not been happy
$528:00 is a lot of money to spend and end up returning the bike back to the tune it was in before they started
Mot to mention a day off work and know a return trip to the dealer
I am that unhappy with the tune that i do not want to ride it
Just letting you know how my dyno went
They only gained 2 hp and 7 pounds of torque over a canned map what a waste of time
Have spoken with the manager of dealership and the service tech that did the dyno tune was on the HD National drag racing crew back in the USA before they bought him out here
The dealership have assured me that they will get my bike running the way i want it with no extra charge
They have offered to pick my bike up from my location (about 90 mins from dealership)to get this right
I was very clear with what i wanted from my tune but it has been tuned to be ultra smooth
It is like riding a metric
They are retuning my bike on a Saturday (which they dont do) to get things right for me i can not ask for any more than that
I think there are people buying HD,s know and want them to run super smooth
I like to feel the big twin thump and love the idle with SE cams
I am pretty fussy with my bike and the dealer has been really understanding and wish to help sort my tune out
I asked them to reload the previous tune but they want to rerun it on the dyno at the same time to get it right for me
Was quoted $330 from Titan in Hobart yesterday. I will let you know the outcome.
Had my bike back at the dealer yesterday and my bike is 100% better to ride
Couldn`t be happier with the outcome
Did not get my bike on the dyno
Dan the tuner kept making adjustments to the tuner until i was happy with how my bike rode
Feels a lot stronger down low and i have my idle how i like it
