    i only mentioned the port n head work cause the original post was made about .30 head gaskets .anyhows i loved racin at castlereagh an loved racin on the m1 or up any twisties against the young fellas down the goldy .spose im more a build the motor to wat the owner wants hey i dont build it to wat i think is best for the bike as choco said few weeks ago when he picked his bike up an when he got home said i built him EXACTLY wat he wanted an that to me is more important than just numbers on a dyno ect i can build an have built some bikes as some here an in another forum know thatll scare the pants off a russian hooker at 100paces buit there is no use building a bike that has all these great dyno numbers if the bloke cant ride .that why i build em to wat they want as the saying goes DARE TO BE DIFFERENT most prob why i used to ride a busa in a 1% club an give everyone stik about how slow their harleys are lol

     hey i will go along for the ride  harder than the next bloke  i  joined a fucking 1 %  fuccking  club on a kawasaki stuffing Z1000  back in the late 70'S  when they were aceptable & stayed there for  20 + stuffing years  but  who give's a stuff  about what was what back when,    esp   if your only a sunday rider , ive was the 1st in aus to get the stock  EVBT 80c.i. to qualify @ national drag race meeting's 1340 c.c. on stock cv carbs on stock pistons  11.6 sec  1/4 time's  from 3-4 differant bikes that i never rode , 1 rider was 124 klg's EVBT 1340 c.c. 11.3 119 mph  with 113.1 HP  most of use's struggle too get that from a 103c.i. -1620c.c. twin cam these day's ,  & i am proud that i can build  them fast  & too last  as well   i will give the bloke what he wants but you do have too draw a line were it cums too guy's that maybe do not need X amount , if they realy want it i deliver better as  any shop can no worries & can back that up with 30 yrs proven  results , most guys stuff around & choose the wrong cam for the job too start with thats why you look for more later because your not satisified & then have too go back in there again , but anyway i don't want too cum across UNCOOL

    its not a cool thing bloke its as you say also giving a bloke wat he wants hey im happy ya got them records an ive done my share as well but on salt ect an built things like twin turbo charged fxr keepin it at 80cubes and runnin at the salt in south aust gettin a 218MPH on it it does have a bearing on wat we do and how we do it from the past itas past knowledge that is the buildin blocks for wat we know now yea i also nom up on a jappa and still got it lol dont know wat ya on about really with the cool bit i just do things i enjoy an do wat the custom ect wants this is the 2nd time ya downed wat ive said since i been here an cant realy see why its needed i can an still learn things by reading posts by others in here includeing yaself but would never think of puttin someone or something they have said down for no great reason i stated the heads cause he was or wants to lift em to do the gaskets so if they off would be a good time to tickle em up that ways they done until he as most blokes want more .ive never known many fellas that settle for the first engine ticlkle up maybe after 2 or 3 then they happy as i have seen in here not to many stop at one modifacation to the engine hey and when they feel theyve done as much as they can they get a nutha bike an start again
    from wat ive read ect of your replies to ppls posts ya know ya stuff but there are others here too that do as well an are entitleed to a response .my old man always said get all different applications from as many ppl you can and then weigh all up an make up ya mind so if its ok with you id like to offer my responses without gettin told im basically wrong or wat i say is a waste of money
    hope ya have a top sunday im gunna go fishin wioth the sons an have a think about the next bike i gotta build for my son soo it should be a good day

    btw remember when you used ta have a great time fuckin with ya bike all them yrs a ago ..tryin this n that an gettin either good or bad results and learnin as ya go .most blokes in here are doin wat we done yrs ago tryin to sort their bikes by themselves or with some mates they are bikers wether be harleys british or jappas some are just gettin their first harley an want to explore so as ya kno they ask questions was a great feelin back then for blokes like you n me so hows about we dont fuck up these guys day an just help them an not try to see who knows more

     hi i wont go into too many details  & won't &%#$ you anymore if that what i came across that  way , i'ts just the advert bit about the cly heads thing, 

    there's  a for sale / services section on here somewere if you want too plug you work 

    1000-1200 for what i do but that's a lot of set up choosing cam + C.Ratio modification heads radiusing  polishing chambers ports shaping ,poilishing valves,   5-6 angle seats & 3 angle valves spring travel & presure checks etc , 5-6 piston modifications +polishing radius & match port & polished  aircleaner intake backing plate throttle body mod's & manifold polishing  it's a real lot of work & alot of time that you cannot don't account for,               i have done too many over the years & still doing it  but i try too talk guy's around these days as i would or not have time for anything else  like working on bike's,               i have to work on my 1974 sportster to-day  sunday
