ThunderTech & Other Things!!!

Had my bike dynoed today at ThunderTech, very refreshing to be treated well and be allowed to get involved in the dyno process. Thanks to Deano and all the crew there.

The dyno showed that TTS tunning is not easy and subject to error when not done properly...

Got 96hp and 108tq, Deano was surprised with these figures cos it is with slip on Rineharts, and no major head work...I'm more than happy with the result...

Got a glimpse of the new DynoJet vision, not a bad bit of gear...

As for other things...WTF is wrong with peeps who decide to get out of here and zero out, not once, but two or three times...This must be one hellofa brain wrecking site to be taken that seriously and come back for more....

Here's the dyno chart before and after...Quite a dif in the curve from my poor TTS tune to what Deano got out of it.... it's now got heaps of tq from the getgo...Realy noticed the difference riding home, gonna loose some more points if not careful FFS...

The prime reason for getting a dyno done is that I was not confident that my TTS tune was right although the bike ran reasonably well...

All up cost was $400, that was for about 4.5 hrs on the dyno...Also found that my regulator is faulty, seems to break down at higher revs...Probably the reason for my past battery hassels. Got one comming from SWHD (Deano didn't have one) will hafta look into the alternator as well, much bigger job to change stator though...

Can't speak highly enough of Deano... Highly recommend ThunderTech.

PS Dodgy is on the money Baksey...Realy don't know what's the matter with blokes who dish it but are too thin skinned to to take it....After all it's only a forum to talk shit and possibly get together...

     Ando,

I haven't gone anywhere I just don't post unless I have something to say and only read the sections I am interested in.

I notice Mr Stix has a zero post count as well?

    cheers

The reason for the dyno on my bike is that I knew my TTS tune was not right and I didn't want to go to the trouble of carting my lap top around and turning my brakes blue...

Deano for mine is a very competant operator, he took his time and went over the figures a number of times to get it right. Oh!! and he sat on the bike while doing his thing...

Money well spent for peace of mind...

alrite, being strait up, I just moved from over east for a while so getting a feel for who does what and where too go.

Who are thundertech and who runs the show and works there. seems like the are well regarded by west ozzie riders so its good to know a good spanner shop to work on the old girl
