i'd love a speed triple but the budget won't go there unfortunately. found a suzuki 1200 on ebay today and will keep an eye on that. probably wants a bit more than i was willing but who knows. otherwise there have been a few good suggestions here.

Buy a hayabusa (is that how you spell it) that way you can leave home 20mins after you need to start work and still be on time.

A Stage 7 DynoJet conversion VMax, 170 bhp at the back wheel for those mad moments.

well i finally found something ... 97 cbr600F only done 22k , comes with rack and bag . picking up today . i know some may be 0ffended but i do 15000k's a year on the heritage but with the wide westerns , its shit trying to get through the heavy sydney traffic. this bike will do nicely for the peak hour and for the odd angry ride through the local national park.

I wouldn't mind a DR650 Suzuki, pretty comfy for a dirt bike, and I could go down those back country dirt roads exploring. Had a DR500Z years ago and it was a brilliant thumper, should never have sold it............

I split on my RK as well, but sometimes I kinda get caught between the cars with the western bars on.

Good luck with the Cibby mate, at least you can keep your good bike for the weekends and have a bunky for the rest of the time.

just picked up at bathhurst yesterday ..... forgot how quick they are compared to a harley. i also was reminded that you can"t dump the clutch trying to take off at the lights ...... i was told the wheelie was spectacular across the intersection ... i don't know about that - i just near shit myself. anyway lots of fun coming back with a few mates. my kids ( sob ) told me that they prefer the honda after i took each for a fast lap this morning .

I grew up on jappas so cant knock em.  But when the Ducati arrived I could not see the attraction to another jappa.  Then a mate gave me let me ride his HOG and well thats the story.  My triple is for city blasting and the odd trip to work.

She will kleen up most jappas - well most.  I dont mind British Steel.

    Cheers

I just picked this work hack up the other day, 5 weeks old and 1,000 K's allready. As I work in a Soda Ash Plant (and that stuff eats paint & alloy) I needed something to let rot at work. But after riding it the last few weeks, I have gotten to like it.

Suzuki 650 V-Twin V-Strom, gets about 500 Km's to 20 L of fuel I don't have to wash it and it's that ugly I don't think anyone will steal it

And this is Julie's new Itallion Stalion, Ducati 620 Injected Monster

We don't care what's parked in the shed, but it must be a V-Twin

I like Italian bikes more than Japs.

On this hypothetical I'd go a Honda variety.

Harleys aint really for lane splitting, even in California where its legal - and especially not when you have pipes to scare the shit out of the cages hehe.
