I use Morning Fresh dishwashing liquid on mine.
Also use the cheap "Wet Look Tyre Shine" from Supercheap on the motor. Bargain when it's 5 for $10
I friend of mine with a streetbob recommendes Martech- Bike Gel its specially formulated for motorcycles, has a corrosion inhibitor its a consentrated gel, .
You get about 40 washes out of a 1 leter bottle,,, only need 2 caps full in 3/4 a bucket of warm water
