Two members that have left recently that I didn't add to the band list were pizzlin and roadtrain.  Despite their dummy spitting ways, they are both welcome back, because of their long history with the site.  They are the only exceptions though, some others have already tried and they have been re-booted.

Well, the Mods have spoken. No more Prodigal Son moments and no more dying swan threads even if posted by the grieving 'relatives'.

I'm hoping in future any disillusioned members might just give the forum a big swerve for a few days/weeks - just cool down a bit rather than take their ball and leave the sand pit for good. I'd noticed one bloke who'd quit and then returned often mentioned his massive post count had been deleted along with his account and how unfair that was... I think that's a small price to pay for a self inflicted wound.

On a related note I remember my ex Missus would give up smoking every few months and with a grand gesture she'd hurl the half full packet into the bin vowing "that's it NO more!!!". I'd go over when she wasn't looking, retrieve the packet and hide it until next she bought smokes...
