Having a little trouble getting a good answer (even from my HD Dealer) on how much shorter the fork legs are on a 2007 Sportster Low than a normal Sportster. By eye I'm guessing an inch... I've had 3 previous Sportys and I have to say HD's idea of adequate ground clearance and mine are different! I'm going for another 3-4 inches to kick it up a touch (and look cool) and an answer on this would help me with ordering the right length for the replacement tubes.

yeah, OK, I just thought a simple answer would save me having to pull the effing things apart before I even get the new bits to throw on ... still, it seems like I'll have to go that way.

what about measuring from axle to top triple tree on both bikes that will give you the difference!!!no need to pull apart!!

tru sportyrace , but if you get a rough idea off the height difference say 2" lower and you replace your own bikes springs 2" lower you have to get the visual look your after!..dont no if i explained that right..
