Finally, I bought my first Harley today, an '07 1200 Custom, in Cobalt Pearl, pick it up next week, can't wait. Jeez I sound like a 12 year old rather than a 51 year old.

Picked her up this morning, rode home in a bit of drizzle but not too bad, removed the luggage rack and fitted the Road6 Customs lowering kit and dropped the arse 2'', I feel a lot more confident now, with my feet better on the ground. I'll try and put a pic up if I can figure out how. Looking forward to tomorrows weather and a good ride somewhere.

Thanks Steamer, this is just a cheap & quick way of getting my feet on the ground, I will probably look at getting some 10 1/2 " progressives when I get a chance.

Put 300 K's on her today, great ride down to Philip Island and then back to wonthagi and leongatha before heading home, the bike ran perfectly, and after about 13 years off a bike, I started to get get my riding legs back. Can't wait for more rides.

That's the beauty of riding a Harley - age doesn't matter. You just feel great riding it.  I got mine at 50 after not owning  a bike for about 15 years.
