G'day Trixta,
I was in a bit of a hurry when I first replied, so I sent that link as a shortcut. Thought between what we all discussed there you'd get some help.
Since then I have modified (or rather simplified ) things. I got rid of the extra relay and wired as follows.
#85- Ground (as per original wiring)
#86 - Starter button on handlebar (as per original wiring)
#87 - Green wire to starter motor (as per original wiring)
#30 - Directly to Battery using heavy Gauge wire and a 30 amp inline fuse.
Have had no recurring problems.
