JD, yeah splitting the cases is easy, case boring is the trick (are you tooled up for that!!!). The 110 set up is pretty much obsolete now (even the CVOs will likely go to 120), not a lot of options with it, HD doesn't list it as a kit any more (113 is better as it can be stroked to 120).

As the others have said, either keep your cases and add on top for 103-107 build (of whatever type) or consider upping the crank (with your or new cases) for 117-130+".

I had the 110 done from new which was easy for the builder, have it running nice now (after minor mods) but will soon be doing the bottom end up for a 120 (sell on my 110/96 motor), so think seriously about the 120 kit if you are starting from 96.

Have fun with your research and build. Lots of experience here on the forum (OZ and US) with bigger motors. Cheers.

Thanks, I totally agree!! yeah the figures look good and probably the best value horsepower that I have been able to find, its a pitty I cant find anyone locally to do that sort of work for that sort of layout

From what Ive found its almost worth sending the bike there to have it fitted for under 2k than it is to get it done here

So I guess IF I can find someone locally to fit it (Im kinda tempted to have a crack myself) all I would need is another dyno tune??

I must be getting skeptical in my old age, but some of those FM dyno numbers with stock heads are amazing ?
I've done a 103 with Wood TW7 (similar to the 555/777) with Hallam heads, and it's nowhere near those TQ numbers.

Have a real good look at the figures for a 113, bolt in new cases and heads, whatever you go make sure you give the motor good flow, it makes a shit load of difference. The 113 will give you a good base to start with. I have been having the same discussion with a mate with a Street Bob who is considering a 103, but now looking at the 113. Spoke to a good mechanic the other day who does plenty of upgrades and has done a few 113's and 120's he prefers the 113. You've also got to remember to get the right cams for your build, you'll want some high lift cams with plenty of top end punch, don't worry about the low down torque, you increase in HP will take care of that. have fun.
