Gents,

Just about to get stuck into fitting a second hand set of big shots to my 2009 Dyna.

First thing I noticed is the exhaust mounting arrangement is different.

Anyone else have any tips/warnings/things to be aware of  before I get started??

mounting arrangement is different to standard factory pipes or different to other year fitment? if you have the correct brackets for your pipes and year it is a very easy install

Panicked initially when I noticed the difference between brackets but a quick glance at the V&H website settled me down.
Gonna get cracking now.

Be a Coopers, glenfiddich and teachers (once the glenfiddich disappears)

They came with instructions right? Usually you have to swap a bolt or two on the tranny to mount the new bracket. Getting rid of the long ugly standard muffler bracket is a huge plus

oh well.
it was all going too smoothly. Removed old system after a minor struggle with over-tightened O2 sensor.
followed instructions and removed allen bolt from transmission, proceed to try and fit new mounting bracket....
holes don't line up......bollox !!
after a bit of nut scratching I go to trusty internet and look at V&H website.
I've been sold a system for a 1991-2005 Dyna, pre 6 speed box. Brackets are slightly different.
Wondering if exhaust system is same for 6 speed box and only mounting brackets are different?
Pissed off as was looking forward to annoying neighbours with new pipes !!
