g'day....put the kickstand spring through the sump cover at 70kph...real freak accident..can't find a cast cover for a '96 dyna wide glide njywhere and looking at 3-4 weeks for one from the usa. anybody out ther who can help? thank....jack
about 25mmx50mm, but because it's cast metal, everyone says it can't be welded, fused or anything else....it's basically f----d. what do you reckon? jack
i have had them welded before they are alloy, a good welder can fix it up , but could find a good s/hand 1, the drain plug offen needs too be repaired have welded them up before so as this does not happen again
the welder i use is in Syd but wont be back untill 12 -18 jan
thanks for the help, boys....found an engineering shop open today and the guy said come back tomorrow and pick it up..seems cast can be welded with a tig..bit smartet than i was yesterday......jack
