    Hiya!

I'm looking at getting myself some type of spring solo seat this year.   Any pointers where to look at different ones which also show pricing options?  I don't have a huge budget to blow but I can squeeze the Minister of War and Finance for a few bob to put towards it.   I like the look of the seat in the recent 2012 Iron project thread but I probably don't need the shocks....  I've seen the genuine HD one but it does look a tad expensive and I've seen other seats which look better.

Also,  I'm trying to find an older thread where a bloke mounted his number plate up on the rear fender (made himself some type of bracket) and got rid of the plastic crap hanging down.  I'm interested in doing the same, somhow,,,  I've flicked back through heaps of threads but I just cant find these pics :(

    Cheers,

    Shred.

hi ,   them spring terry seats  do not have a damper in the spring when you hit a bump you keep on humping  would be good for rooting on ,         1 push & you bounce 3 to 4 time's  ,     just don't hit 3 bumps in a row or you will be humping all nite long

The leatheroo stuff is great. Ive picked up a Rich Phillips with a pillion pad and mounting kit. Also check out La Rossa. They look good and are a bit cheaper. I havent fitted mine yet as it hasnt arrived....there has been the odd one for sale on this site every so often.
    Good luck mate.

I ordered mounting kit and seat from Rich Phillips for my 2007 sportster. Got it last week and have it on the bike. The seat sits a bit high off the mounting plate but otherwise am happy with the quality. Still looking at what to do with ECM.

Are the mounting brackets the same for all spring seats?   From what I'm seeing there are heaps of great saddles out there but not alot about the bracket and springs.

I think so. ou just have to specify when you buy the seat itself. You can replace all those springs too. Find some you like, or that suit the height you want.

So where are blokes buying the seats and mounting kits from?

I want one for my Dyna, and I'd like to commission Leatheroo to personalise the design. But where do I get the seat pan and mounting kit from? Apart from LaRosa, which I didnt really like.

    Cheers fellas.
