Hello All HD lovers/riders,
Happy New years to you all!
I just recently bought and picked up my first ever Harley... and can I just say, never will I be going back to a Japanese or Italian Race/Sports Bike!!!
It was a toss up between getting a stock V-rod muscle or a 2012 Iron 883 model (denim black), slightly worked with Vance & Hines pipes, screaming eagle filter, straight drag bars, sprung solo seat & dyno tuned (sports performance)... I know most will probably say V-Rod Muscle all the way... but given I haven't been on a bike in a few years and when I was on one, it was purely Japanese or Italian racers... I thought what better way to get re-introduced into the biking world then something a little smaller that I can handle and throw around a bit for the first 12 months and yet enjoy it right from the get go... so I chose the latter! See pic below...
Anyway, I'm from VIC (Melb.) and should anyone be up for a ride whilst the weather is sensational, let me know... I'm definitely keen for a cruise... all my mates have Sport/Race bikes and don't fancy having a Harley riding along with them... they can't hear their own bikes! LOL!!
Cheers,
JD
welcome jd. dont worry about your mates not wanting to be shown up
Welcome JD hope you enjoy the forums and congrats on getting your first Harley.
Cheers mate.
It could've been. My folks live out in Hillside and I have been there on the bike the past few days.
Awesome re your purchase of the V-Rod Muscle. Will definitely be my next Harley!
Welcome
Hey JD.
When I get away from work next, would be happy to go for a ride around melb with ya.
People are posting rides all the time when the weather is better.

G'day JayDee, ride safe.
Yesterday evening at around 7pm.
Yeah...can't wait for the vrod to get here
Welcome JD, I did the same got rid of a Honda VFR for a Harley. Fatboy though. Wont ever see me on a Jap bike again. Actually followed a bloke on a Harley the other day with No Jap as his number plate.
Gidday JayDee - I'm sure you won't regret flickin' the rice burners. When you and ya mates get together yours will be the only bike with a point of difference. Jappas all look exactly the same.
