Hey Guys, blew a throttle cable on a 2005 Softail Deluxe and was wondering how hard they are to switch out, looks like the original is cable tied to the backbone under the tank, so im not sure how hard this is gonna be, or should i just give to harley to fix

Thanks B yep im ok on the tools, but i havent attempted much work on the beast as i dont want to damage things i could have left to the Pros. But its a nice day and the cupboards full of Bundy, so it might be a perfect excuse to just sit look ponder and drink

If they are similar to the newer models you can take all the bolts that hold your tank on and lift it enough to get to what you need. Just watch the balance tube at the front.
