Is that a genuine HD seat option these days ?
Looks like a Chopper Shox set up but bolted on
instead of welded in properly, the little shox are
pretty comfy if they are CS shocks...

Bear your right things can get pretty expensive, if you don't spend wisely. Have you gotten to go on any of the gasoline alleys rides yet. I have been away every weekend they have had the rides. Maybe next time.

How is the 48 it was a tough choice between the iron and the 48, they both look wonderful.

Yep the kits just bolt on. See the pic below (best pic I have at this point).  Seat kit comes assembled (seat and mount kit) two bolts B (existing seat bolt) and C (through the frame by existig hole) are the only ones needed to be put on.

C is still a bitch to tighten. I found the best trick is to screw nut down until a small amount of bolt sticks through the top. Multigrip the top and screw the nut right downhill it tightens up good.

Darran, thanks for your help mate; it was greatly appreciated.

Managed to get the pan buttoned up nicely tonight and after speaking to you it took me all of about 15mins!! The bracket that connects to the tank bracket and frame wasn't exactly a great fit, however a little massaging with the rubber mallet got it square in the end!!

    Thanks again!!

anyone know if you can just buy the black covers for the short shots? I just picked up a used set from a bike that went down... the pipes are OK but the heat shields are badly scarred.
Other option is the heat wrap... not sure which way to go.

By the way, nice bike Darran. I'm in Brisbane too....
