Gday everyone

My 99 Fatboy has a problem with carby.Idles beautifully, can even rev with no problem,however when under load,ie try and take off carby starvesof fuel and dies if you dont rev throttle again?? Any thoughts

Sounds like a blocked jet. Have you removed and cleaned it ?

 hi, idle jet slighty blocked or acc pump dia has a hole in it or worn , 

i would start from the fuel cock  & clean  all  the system  1st  & would fit new inlet manifold rubber seal's only 6$

it may not be the carb could be ya coil breakin down under load or ya blackbox on its way out or has shit itself normally if its backfireing is electrical if its fuel itd just go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr an stop try swappin ya ciol or or it could be as easy as plugs dying

have tried another cv carb and it works fine

cool time for a mikuni or full rebuild on your ol one ..sometimes coil can fuck ya over an make it carry on was just another thought when you said backfires

Is there any thing on a cv carb that you cant see or service that may cause my problem?

The diaphragm might be split.
Check and see if it lifts up when revving.

Turns out wrong size pilot jet, wrong size main jet ,float set incorrectly and also air mixture screw turned out not far enough, so much for fucken experts. Helps to also read instructions for dyno kit and fit correct jets for after market air box and pipes. Thanks for your input.
