    I'd be definately suggesting a tool store.

    Harleys these days are covered in many different fasteners and socket types.

    There are;

    -Torx Fittings (T6 - T60 will cover pretty much any eventuality)
    -Torx-R Fittings (just like a torx except with slightly more rounded splines)
    -Spline Drive Heads (A 12 point socket set can sometimes be used on these- be bloody careful though!)
    -Hex Drive Heads
    and... a multitude of imperial fittings.

    I must stress this though..... Torx and spline driven bolt heads are neither imperial or metric. Trying to adapt otherwise unsuitable tools for the job will only result in damaging the bolt head.

    Buy the right tools first time round, and minimise the risk!

    Do the chrome bolt kits still have all the different heads on bolts or just hex ones. I want to change to chrome but finding the sizes is a bitch.

    Having owned many Jeeps over the years I've found torx heads are extremely common - must be a Yankee thing!

    Yep, the assortment is a true pain in the ass. Just wait until you strip one of the little buggers. Thats enough to really make your day.

    My 2010 Fatboy has Torx screws on the switch blocks, as stated before just buy as set of them and your done as there are different sizes on the rest of the bike. Also get yourself some Metric and Imperial Allen Head sets as well.

    One problem with Yankee bikes they have lots of different stuff in the way of tools so you will have to kit yourself out with the appropriate gear or you will have to take it to the dealer and that is something I would never want to do as they are way toooooo expensive.
