So... just to see if he was on the ball, I asked if it was a "Grey" I know it is based on the Vin number, but wanted to see his response.

From his reply I have gleamed that he is not Australian born. The broken english is a giveaway. Not that I have anything against foreigners - just an observation.

Anyway his reply is laughable - based on his claim about the warranty.

Hi, this bike ''grey'' import, by the way all HD import from USA (Australia not build it). Different only signal light (red in USA) but now mentioned bike Full Australian Compliance and come with current rego and factory warranty. Regards

If you were to look back at my history on this board, you will see that I dropped in and asked questions before I bought my ride. I did the same thing with the 4WD I own. Jumped on the forum and researched and asked questions. That is the beauty of the world today - you can get the answers to most questions you have within a small amount of time.

Because these wankers can bring them in cheap, the will continue to do so. And while they do some poor unprepared people will get stung.

If I was going to import a bike from OS, I would be jumping on a board like this, talk to those that have done it, and use a company that is active on the board, and has good mojo amongst the members. (such as Chopaweeza - as an example)

Have asked if it was a grey and when he mentioned warranty I asked for how long!! Considering its a grey and over 2 years old - The warranty comment is a concern.

Just noticed both Rockers don't have compliant rear light sets, still have US light system. Looks like there is heaps of work for unsuspecting buyers.

Its not just Harleys , i'm on the look out for a second bike , I want a sports cruiser , seen a Triumph at peter stevens , a import , thers a honda i loooked at , guess what a import ,,, even bigger suprise , the price AUSSIE PRICES , that on its own gives me the shits that even though i want too buy one i will not ,, call me stupid but its just my own way of saying get stuffed , thi's is the reason they offered me peanuts for a trade on a bike 12 months old , . They don't need to give me a decent price when they can import cheaper .

Nope, people can do what they wan, but for me if there getting the bikes cheaper then i want it passed on , otherwise i'll keep my money in my pocket
