TRI BAR LED NOT WORKING

    G'day all, can anyone tell me why the tri bar led that i just purchased from the dealer is on constantly i.e brake light in tail light is staying on all the time and when you push the barke pedal or the brake lever it does not alter it just stays on the guys at the dealership told me that the light is correct fitment for my bike which is a 2010 fxst any help will be greatly appreciated?

    Cheers mate! i had thought  a similar type thing but then when ti tried my original tail light again the same thing happens it just stays illuminated on the brake circuit.

     hi have you done any work on your bars ie grips newbars  risers you may have broken the switch in the housing? just aguess did the same thing on mine

    Should be just plug and play. Load resitor not needed as it's a Brake/Tail light, not an indicator. 
    Sounds like a faulty brake light switch, otherwise a wiring fault.

    yeh just been talking to the stealership that the light was bought from they seem to think that the prob is maybe a pinched wire when i put up the light to the ducktail mount, guess i will take it back off and do a resistance check and see, Cheers !!!

    just  a heads up incase anybody else has the same or similar probem with their tail brake light as i have this might help! after much fuckin around testing the circuit board in the tail light assy with a multimeter and all the wiring harness to the light i found the problem to be the micro switch in the front brake lever assy sticking on ! Cheers and don't forget the basics as always unlike me.
